History of How Metropolis Restaurant Came To Be!

Samuel (Second from left) and Jose (Second from right) have been in the restaurant business together since their El Tequila opened in Crossville, TN (in 1990). They were caught in a thunderstorm during a trip through Illinois. During the lay-over, they toured Metropolis, found it to be a nice town with nice people in it and decided to open up the Metropolis Restaurant. They first opened at 310 W. 10th Street in Metropolis, then later moved to 1407 East 5th Street. The building they are in now is located DIRECTLY across from FORT MASSAC STATE PARK and the building was formerly known as the Fortress SteakHouse.
